    Developed using hand-printing techniques within a cinematic poster design context.

Institutional and Artistic Leadership

  • 2025 • Founder & Director of khanesh Handmade Film School
    The first independent educational platform in Iran dedicated to the research and practice of handmade filmmaking, exploring artist-led approaches to cinema through analogue, handcrafted, and experimental processes.
  • 2023–2024 • Artistic Director, Dayhim Art Society (DAS), Tehran, Pakdasht
    Directed residency and exhibition programs within an independent artist community. Conceived and initiated Ghiyab, a year-long collaborative project bringing together 20 artists around the concepts of presence and absence, memory, and representation. Oversaw the project's research and curatorial development through its pre-opening phase.
  • 2024 • Co-Founder & Director of Arxe Art School
    An independent art school focused on contemporary art education, critical dialogue, and practice-based learning for emerging artists.
  • 2023 • Founder & Director of Khanesh Alternative Print School, Tehran
    The only dedicated institution for alternative photographic and printmaking practices in Iran. The school has been instrumental in introducing and expanding experimental printmaking methodologies among Iranian artists, fostering a sustained pedagogical and artistic engagement with processes such as cyanotype, gum bichromate, Van Dyke brown, lumen, anthotype, chlorophyll, and other historical and experimental techniques.
  • 2020 • Founder of khanesh Essay Award
    An independent award established to support and promote essay writing, creative nonfiction, and interdisciplinary critical discourse in Persian.
  • 2018 • Founder & Director of Maks Art Gallery
    A curatorial and research platform exploring art and the urban condition. Included an independent gallery hosting exhibitions and public programs centered on the city as a site of critical and artistic reflection.
  • 2015 • Founder & Director of Khanesh Cultural and Artistic Institute,
    An independent interdisciplinary cultural organization focused on narrative fiction, creative nonfiction, documentary cinema, and art studies. From its inception, Khanesh has functioned as a platform for rethinking educational structures in the arts, positioning the “school” as an alternative and complementary model to the university. The institute began through a constellation of experimental schools, including the School of Documentary Film, School of Fiction Writing, School of Creative Nonfiction, and School of Cinema Studies, fostering practice-based and research-oriented pedagogical approaches.
