Chlorophyll Print, Lumen Print, and Anthotype

In the second workshop of the comprehensive alternative printing course, we will explore three printing techniques:
🔻 Chlorophyll Print, which imprints images onto leaves. In this technique, real plant leaves are used as the printing surface. The image is recorded on the leaf through direct sunlight, resulting in an organic work that will gradually change over time if not fixed.
🔻 Lumen Print, which records the trace of time through light and silver. Prints in this technique are made using traditional photographic paper and sunlight. The image appears on the paper without the use of chemicals, solely through exposure to light and time. Even if it is not chemically fixed, it can be preserved after scanning or digital documentation.
🔻 Anthotype, which turns plant pigments into narrators of the image. In anthotype printing, plant pigments (such as spinach, beetroot, turmeric, or even extracts from flower petals) are transferred onto paper. The image gradually forms on this colored surface through exposure to sunlight over time. This is a very slow printing process that requires precision and patience.

چاپ کلروفیل، لومِن و آنتوتایپ

🔻کلروفیل پرینت، که تصویر را روی برگها نقش میزند. در این تکنیک، از برگ گیاهان واقعی بهعنوان بستر چاپ استفاده میشود. تصویر با کمک نور مستقیم خورشید روی سطح برگ ثبت میشود و نتیجه، اثری طبیعی است که اگر تثبیت نشود، بهمرور زمان دچار تغییر میشود.
🔻لومن پرینت، که ردّ زمان را با نور و نقره ثبت میکند. چاپهای مربوط به این تکنیک با استفاده از کاغذهای عکاسی سنتی و نور خورشید ساخته میشود. تصویر بدون استفاده از مواد شیمیایی و فقط با تابش نور و زمان بر کاغذ ظاهر میشود و حتی اگر بهصورت شیمیایی تثبیت نشود، پس از اسکن یا ثبتی دیجیتال، قابل حفظ است.
🔻 آنتوتایپ، که رنگدانهی گیاهان را به روایتگر تصویر بدل میکند. در آنتوتایپ، رنگدانهی گیاهان (مانند اسفناج، چغندر یا زردچوبه یا حتی عصاره گلبرگ گیاهان) بر روی کاغذ منتقل میشود. تصویر با تابش نور خورشید و طی زمان روی این سطح رنگی شکل میگیرد. این چاپ بسیار آهسته است و به دقت و صبوری نیاز دارد.
